Athol Park Play Area, Port Erin

Athol Park Play Area in Port Erin has recently reopened (Dec 2019) and is a fantastic place to bring your children. A play area for younger children is shown as a red circle on the left-hand side of the map and there’s another play area for older children shown as a red circle on the right-hand side. I’ve shown the rough access points for the play areas in yellow.

We enjoy entering via the Athol Glen entrance and walking alongside the stream, especially now Rushen Primary School and Men In Sheds have created 18 beautiful fairy houses to find along the way. The path is pram-friendly, albeit a little narrow in places but I saw several families with prams whilst we were there.

Below are some photos to show you what is available at the play area for younger and older children.

If you haven’t yet visited, it’s a definite one to try!
