Athol Park Play Area in Port Erin was refurbished in Dec 2019 and is a fantastic place to bring your children. A play area for younger children is located at the West side of the park, whilst another play area for older children is on the East side. We enjoy entering via the Athol Glen entrance and walking alongside the stream, especially now Rushen Primary School and Men In Sheds have created 18 beautiful fairy houses to find along the way (June 2020). The path is pram-friendly, albeit a little narrow in places but I saw several families with prams whilst we were there.

The train station and café within it is a short walk from the play area and there is a toilet in there.

Below are some photos to show you what is available at the play area for younger and older children. If you haven’t yet visited, it’s a definite one to try!
